As a distance runner, I’m used to spending hours at a time training to get better at my craft. The mental toughness I’ve developed turns out to be useful in other areas of my life. Sitting through a two-hour meeting is nothing compared to running laps around Lake Quanapowitt.
I’ll need some of that ability to focus today. Tonight’s the last session for my puppet class. The rest of the day I’ll be practicing my little puppet sketch so I’ll be ready to present it at the end of the class. Unfortunately, running hasn’t done much to improve my dexterity – I’m on my own there.
